FAQ
What is Thermal Imaging
Thermal Imaging is the process viewing & recording actual surface temperatures, signatures,& anomalies observed on surfaces such as ceilings.walls, floors, electric panels, etc.comparatively think of it as a thermometer with a video screen attached, instead of Mercury rising through the marks, the temperature is translated into a visual image. With a thermal Imager surface temperatures are observed & interpreted, through these surface temperature images it then can be determined what is or may be occurring in areas that cant be seen without destructive evaluations.
All objects emit energy in the form of heat,Thermal Imaging allows me to see this energy and interpret my findings or the anomalies observed.
Does Thermal Imaging see through walls
NO it does not, what is seen is the temperature differences that transfer through or occur at the surface of an object. Air movement, evaporation, moisture, heat transfer and more all have a observable effect on surface temperatures, these create a temperature difference that the camera sees and makes a thermal image of the temperature signatures.
Why would I need a Thermal Inspection, If I'm buying a brand new home
Just because you bought a new home does not mean it has no defects,It is important to have a Thermal Inspection many people expect all systems to be installed properly and functioning as intended. Unfortunately sometimes just the opposite happens, active roof leaks, misaligned and damaged framing and even missing insulation have been found. Once the drywall is up without thermal imaging these defects would not be found.
Why are Infrared Thermal Inspections so Important
The view from a infrared camera is remarkable, the camera allows me to see and compare the relative temperature of a object or surface area to that of the surrounding area. These comparisons can help identify otherwise invisible problems and concerns which can be caused issues below the surface of a floor, behind walls,or above a ceiling. The Images seen by the camera can show problems with moisture, electrical, and HVAC systems. As well as problems with insulation, foundation, framing, plumbing and more.Infrared thermal imaging combined with traditional inspection methods provides the best state of the art service available.
How can Thermal Imaging help with my commercial property in NH.
With the help of thermal imaging any prevalent issues on in your commercial or residential properties in NH can be identified. From roof and moisture scans, to electrical and insulation scans these issues are important to help you to understand your properties overall condition.traditional visual inspections can't come close to seeing what can be seen with thermal imaging.
